BELGIUM, CZECH REPUBLIC AND SWEDEN LINE UP THEIR TEAMS FOR ROMA 2022

Nine days before the official opening of the European Aquatics Championships in Rome, the athletes are finalising their preparation for their event debut.

The Foro Italico sporting facility and the Lido di Ostia are ready to welcome the 50 international delegations with their big champions in swimming, open water swimming, artistic swimming, diving and high diving.

Here are the names of the members of Team Belgium, Czech Republic and Sweden attending Roma 2022.

BELGIUM

Belgium have announced 12 athletes who will join the swimming and open water swimming teams.
Among them there is 17-year-old Roos Vanotterdijk, national record holder in the men’s 50m and 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly, who returns to the Swimming Stadium as a senior after winning bronze in the 50m butterfly at last year's Junior European Championships in Rome.

The Czech Republic will have 16 athletes lined up in four sports disciplines.
There are great expectations for the high diving world silver medallist Michal Navrátil, who is ready to hold the audience’s breath by diving from a 27-metre platform.

SWEDEN

Sweden have released their list of 23 athletes for swimming. Among them Sarah Sjöström, the world record holder in the women’s 50m and 100m backstroke, and in the 100m butterfly who will once again swim in the pool that had crowned her the 100m butterfly’s queen in 2009.
