Roma 2022 to be also broadcasted on Sky

There will be a double TV coverage in Italy for Roma 2022. Besides the RAI, the Italian State Television which will be the event Host Broadcaster offering over 100 hours of production for the live streaming to an estimated 200 million viewers, today Sky has announced that it will also cover the 36th edition of the aquatics continental championships live from 11-21 August.

This is a first for the Europe's largest media company and pay-TV broadcaster by revenue and with over 23 million subscribers, to broadcast the major European aquatics event returning to Rome after 1983. The Stadio del Nuoto in the Foro Italico, considered as the most beautiful swimming pool in the world, will host 1,500 athletes from 50 nations, who will compete in the four Olympic sports - swimming, open water swimming, diving and artistic swimming – and also in high diving for the first time in history. More than 100,000 spectators are expected in the stands of the Roma 2022 competition venues: the Foro Italico Swimming Stadium for swimming and diving, the Pietrangeli Stadium for artistic swimming, Ostia Lido, Rome’s seaside, for open water swimming and an iconic venue located in Rome’s city centre that will be revealed in the coming weeks.
