The 19th FINA World Masters Championships in Japan from 2-11 August 2023

The Masters World Championships in Japan will be held from 2-11 August 2023. The decision made by FINA is associated with the postponement of the 19th FINA World Championships of aquatic disciplines, held in Fukuoka from 14 to 30 July 2023.

The 19th FINA World Masters Championships, initially scheduled for 31 May – 9 June 2022 in the Japanese cities of Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Kagoshima, has been postponed due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The FINA World Masters Championships 2022 Kyushu will welcome approximately 10,000 athletes from more than 100 countries.

It is still not clear if the extraordinary event in Budapest and Doha edition will have a dedicated appendix to the masters.
