European Masters Championships, last days to register

Swimming, open water swimming, artistic swimming and diving. Last days to register for the disciplines of the European masters championship, scheduled in Rome from 24 August to 4 September. There is time until 11.55 p.m. on Sunday 17 July for all sports disciplines, with the exception of water polo, which has already closed its calendar. On the other hand, registration for team competitions by athletes already registered for the championship is open until 27 July.

Rome 2022 has already published the list of athletes registered so far in the various disciplines. There is a large presence in swimming with more than 3,000 entries for almost 7,000 individual races and 250 relays. All competitions will take place at the Stadio del Nuoto in Foro Italico and at the federal centre of Pietralata, located in the southeast of Rome. The athletes will compete in a 50-metre outdoor pool with 10 lanes and will have an indoor pool for warming up during the eight days of competition.

The Stadio del Nuoto will also host the diving competitions; more than 120 athletes have already registered for six days of challenges on 1- and 3-metre springboards, as well as synchronised pair diving. Finally, at the Foro Italico park, in the swimming pool set up at the Nicola Pietrangeli stadium, the spectacle of artistic swimming will be staged with 80 teams enrolled and two male athletes for five days of competition.

The water polo matches are scheduled to take place at the federal centre in Ostia and, again in Rome's seaside municipality, the open water swimming competitions will take place: over 500 athletes are currently registered for four days of competition over a distance of 3 km.

Registration is still open. Don't miss the chance to compete in Italy to try and win, and then hang the European medals on a picture in the hall.
