New competition programme announced for open water swimming in Ostia

Due to the continuing adverse weather conditions, with strong winds and high waves, the LEN Technical Open Water Swimming Committee and Roma 2022 have announced the new competition programme for open water swimming in the coming days.

Tomorrow's competition day, Friday 19 August, has been cancelled.

The events, taking place at the SPQR beach in Ostia, have been rescheduled on Saturday 20 with the men's and women's 5km starting at 10:00, followed at 14:00 by the men's and women's 25km.

On Sunday 21, the 10km is scheduled to start at 10:00 for men and women.

The 4x1250m relay has instead been removed from the competition programme.
