SPORT E SALUTE CEO AND PRESIDENT COZZOLI (ITA): “ROMA 2022, A SUCCESS AT THE FORO ITALICO'

Today the president and CEO of Sport e Salute Vito Cozzoli met the press at the Foro Italico’s Circolo del Tennis, where the Casa FIN (welcome area) has been set up. It was an opportunity to draw a partial balance of the Roma 2022 event.

"It is an extremely positive evaluation for the Foro Italico, which has proved to be a magical place. Sport e Salute is investing so much in these areas, which have become the home of major sporting events: we have hosted tennis, taekwondo, beach volleyball, padel and now aquatics, all events of the highest level, which have been a showcase for our Made in Italy. For these European championships I have to thank the Italian Swimming Federation and President Barelli, who strongly believed in this challenge.

Let us not forget that it is mid-August and bringing people at this time of the season was certainly not easy. But everything went well with continuous sell-outs. The public was the protagonist, a real added value.” Cozzoli’s final thought: “Great events are an important driver of economic development, they bring many tourists and above all they bring people closer to sport. I have rediscovered practising swimming, and in September I will go back to it.”
